TUKUMS MUSEUM THROUGH THE TIMES

This exposition gives visitors a chance to see more than 250 paintings from the museum’s collection by 110 artists, including Janis Rozentāls, Vilhelms Purvītis and others.

The touchscreen also displays artwork by Johans Valters, Jēkabs Kazaks, Ģederts Eliass, Leo Svemps, Valdemārs Tone, Konrāds Ubāns, Uga Skulme, Jānis Tīdemanis and others, including three local painters: Ansis Artums, Leonīds Āriņš and Kārlis Neilis.

The digital exposition provides a glimpse into the museum’s history. Visitors can also create their own electronic postcard by selecting and combining fragments of several different paintings. This individual artwork can then be forwarded to their own or a friend’s e-mail and shared on social media.

The project has been implemented with the support of the State Culture Capital Foundation and Tukums Municipality Council.
