HISTORICAL SCENES FROM THE TOWN OF TUKUMS

The models with dolls depict the history of Tukums from the 12th until the 20th century.

The history of Tukums is fascinating and rich in events, so the museum’s employees have chosen eight events in the town’s history to replicate with dolls.

The dolls tell of: the Old and New Castle of Tukums, the 13th-century legend about the love story of the knight Castillian and the Livonian girl Rauduziņa, and the town’s development between the 17th and 20th centuries. In this way, people can see how much the town has changed.

The models were made in Animācijas brigāde’s workshop.
